Mad Swans is looking for a full-time, part-time and weekend Kitchen Porters to join our budding team. You’ll be the first person to step into these shoes and shape this new role based at our first site: Mad Swans in the Mendips.

Social play spanning Padel Tennis, Pickleball, Darts, Shuffleboard and Golf gives guests the chance to explore one game or sample them all, across a few hours, a day, or a long weekend. We’re all about great food, which is why we’ve teamed up with experts in their field to create two distinct dining experiences and endless ways to enjoy them. The Potting Shed proudly boasts a menu of refreshing takes on Brasserie classics while, in The Hangout, the focus is on shareable plates with no compromise on flavour. But wherever guests find themselves, from course to court, the meadow to the orchard, they’re never far from a plate of something delicious to satisfy any craving. And, for evenings that go on forever, an Eco Cabin for the night is only a starlit walk through the wilderness away.

What there is to it

As this is a brand-new role for a new opening, this is your chance to get involved from the ground up. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Kitchen Team by ensuring the Kitchen is clean, organised and an efficient space that helps the whole team thrive from the very first service.

The key duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

• Ensure all dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment are clean and ready for use
• Help unpack and organise deliveries, ensuring our pantry is stocked correctly and our kitchen is always prepared and ready
• Lend a hand with food preparation, from peeling vegetables to fetching ingredients, playing a vital part in supporting our chefs during busy services
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitised environment, ensuring hygiene standards are met
• Organising kitchen stock, utensils, and ingredients in order for the team to work efficiently during busy periods
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned well on a daily basis and maintained

There are a number of full-time, part-time and weekend positions. Full time positions will work any five days out of seven. Earnings to £13.00/hour, including TRONC (Tips).

Location – this is an onsite role and will be located at Mad Swans in the Mendips, Marsh Lane, Farrington Gurney, Bristol, BS39 6TS.

Working Hours – the working hours will generally be between 10.00 am and 11.00 pm but may vary from time to time.

Working Days – your working days will depend on if you work full-time, part-time or weekend. Full-time members of the team will be required to work any five days out of seven and will involve working on weekends on a regular basis. Working hours will vary in line with the operating calendar and needs of the business.

• Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
